I stayed with him till he passed and was late for work. Poor little sweetie I feel like I failed him. I’m thinking you’re right. He must have aspirated some water down into his lungs when he drank or when he was hatching.I sure hate to hear this. I don't know what else you can do at this point except keep him comfortable. It sure sounded encouraging last night. It may be that he did aspirate some water down into his lungs or it possibly could have happened in the egg?

They sure are amazing and so precious.On a brighter note little Chip and the other two are doing great and growing a lot!

This one wasn’t the one with amber fluid, but he did have a lot of liquid in his egg. More than the others.
They absolutely are. I love them dearly. I’m glad that the first three are still thriving and doing well.They sure are amazing and so precious.

Maybe the little one is a girl?Little Beans (the blue fawn) is so small. Compared to the others especially. The little black bibbed is 2 days younger than him and is much larger. Chip (the grey) is only 1 day older than Beans. Here they are enjoying their time out while I cleaned their cage.
