How about Vetericyn spray for wounds and infections ? I've even seen Dr. Pol use it on wounds on horses etc. I imagine this will fill in now that she has taken off the dead stuff? You are a trooper staying with her through this and she is a trooper for hanging in there and getting through this. In other words your both amazing.@Miss Lydia ok, so the part of the wound that I thought was dying off, did. I have been doing dressing changes once a day now for the past three days. Tonight I let her have a bath and she took it upon herself to rip the dead portion off(was pretty sure it was ether a muscle or tendon). Really grossed me out too. Guess I'll be doing dressing changes forever. I had been putting santyl ointment(enzymatic debridement that doesn't harm granulating tissue) on the last three nights as well. So now I get to figure out how and what to dress new wound with. She is doing really well and no infection so far, I can't really complain.
