Does anyone have a catalog from them? My feed store in town orders from them. And in fact, my Silver Phoenix came from there, and they are GORGEOUS! I was wondering what else they have.

That's where our feed store orders from. Privett had a little tri-fold mailer that the feed store gave me with the breeds. Here is their website: http://www.privetthatchery.com/ - It says to call for a catalog. I have production reds, SLWs, GLWs, and Delawares from them.

I ordered from Welp hatchery in IA. I believe their Cornish meat crosses are raised in IA and all the rest of their chicks are shipped from Privett. The folks at Welp are wonderfully helpful and have a great web site. Last year I had to cancel an order from Welp and they were very kind about it. I ordered meat birds from them the year before and had excellent results and very healthy birds.

I have an order in with Welp for delivery near the end of March. I made this order based on some photos of birds posted on this forum a few weeks ago. Very attractive Speckled Sussex.

I and a few others that I've heard of had terrible customer service when I ordered from Privett, I ordered Buff Orps, SLWs, and RIWs, the quality or the birds was decent but they were snotty on the phone, never returned my emails, and when I called asked of a pricelist to be mailed to me, they said they would send it, but I never saw it.

My experience has been very much the same as RareRoo's. They rarely answer the phone, and when they do they give the impression that you are bothering them. They have not once replied to an e-mail i've sent them, never put anything in the mail that they say they will. Just plain dreadful. They're only about two hours from me but I won't give them any of my business, they act like they don't want it.

Cara- Ouch. That's really horrible to hear. I wish they would get better with their customer service!!

I know that they have Easter Eggers, not Ameraucanas (or Araucanas, as they were labeled by Privett in a local feedstore's shipment)
