Problem Child - Spradle leg(s)

Cool I will try at the chemist on the way home from work tomorrow and see how I get on. Yes I do have brewers yeast - will add some to the water / food now. She is now eating and drinking on her own. Is upright - but still wobbly and still has the shakes (they may never go away - but I can live in hope). She is starting to "worry" when I leave the room - so just went and "stole" one of her siblings to keep her company. It really highlights how far behind the others she is because she is only about a third of the size of her hatch mate.
Having one of her sibs will help hopefully as long as it doesn't pick on her. Sounds like she is making improvement which is awesome.

Have you wrapped the legs yet. Just make sure when baby is on their back to wrap the legs open like they are while laying there. That will be just right for the baby to be able to get up and stand on them when it gets strong enough to do so....
This baby thinks you are it's momma now so will fret when you leave! Good idea on the sibling but keep an eye so the larger one does not pick on the weaker baby they will do that...

If you have to work and are not there for much of the day could you moisten the food like people do when they ship goslings? Im not sure how they do it but someone on here could tell you. That would help with the lack of water during the day.

That's a good idea 8 I make fermented feed for my flock and I notice they drink lot less water when eating their feed moistened. I still think it would be better for the lil one to have some water along with it though.

Water is best i agree! I dont see the problem with letting it have some while gone. My duckies flip and flop always had access to water. They never were in danger of drowning and they rolled around like doughnuts.

I have read on here where ducklings have drowned in their water bowl so I do think it's good idea to make sure when having one that is special needs to have a shallow bowl. But had to laugh at your description of flip and flop rolling around like doughnuts. Bless.

Can someone please help me my chick that just hatched leg is all swollen in the joint making it where her leg can't go out normally
