Problem with peacock - feathers hanging low around legs

I will be up early and get them straight away. I won't let him out.

I've just been out to see if I could get any photos in the dark. I don't know how well you'll be able to see but it's the body feathers at the top of his legs that seem lower than usual. To be honest they look better than they did when he went to bed 3 or 4 hours ago, hanging less lowly.

They can rip their skin and not bleed, you need to have him examined and possibly stitched up.

Thank you both for your help. He seems better this morning, still completely normal in himself, and the feathers on his legs don't seem to hanging so lowly. I haven't seen him sit down yet but that's not unusual as he's normally spends the day wandering around. I've kept him in and I'm keeping an eye on him.

Just a little update to let you know he has continued to seem fine during the rest of today. I've also spotted him sat down on his perch so hopefully it was just a sprain/bruise. I'll keep him in again tomorrow just to be in the safe side but fingers crossed he is recovering. Thanks for your help - it means a lot to have someone to talk to when you're worried.
