PRODUCTION Toulouse Geese Thread!!

There's a big bucket I usually bring them and let them play in for a couple hours a day, but then they splash all the water out. I was looking for big kiddy pools today so they would have water left after they play in it but most are put up for the winter.
I hit the same obstacle when I got my geese last winter. One day I was at Family Dollar and just asked them when they would be getting kiddie pools. The lady said it would be later in the spring but that they had some in the back stored from last year...bingo!!! You might just check around and ask, they may have some in the back that they would be willing to pull out to make a sale.

TSC has pretty good size containers over in their feed section. what I saw with them by that waterer is they are trying to bathe. makes me sad when I see that. They really need to be able to wash their faces every time they eat. I have 3- 2 gal buckets set out and 1 -5 gal bucket just for the geese. Water fowl need alot of water. hence the name. lol Even if you can't get them a pool now there are other things ,I also have for winter is a cement mixing tub, got mine over at TSC in the feed section paid about 12.99 for it about 4 yrs ago. they hold up great in cold weather. yes they will splash all the water out but oh are they having fun.

Oh and I have heated buckets for winter. I could go into the bucket business actually.

Buckets are like clothes hangers. You put a single clothes hanger in a closet, close the closet door and leave for 30 days. Open the closet door and you have 100 hangers. Put a single bucket in a barn, leave for 30 days, 50 buckets neatly stacked together.
