Productivity of Barred Rocks

    I bought some Barred Rocks, I was told they were Dominiques. I bought them to re-sale, but I am thinking of keeping a few. Are Barred Rocks good egg layers?

    Yes they are. I think of the common hatchery breeds, they are in the top of the list.

    They are a very good production breed. Nothing fancy or special, but dependable layers of large tan eggs.
