An actuator moves really fast doesn't it? Click up Click down.That would be really jerky for the eggs I would think. If you get the actuator figured out to where it does not jerk the eggs with the turn let us know. I know about no time I will be glad when I get time to build mine.

Some of them do, some have slower stroke speeds. I've seen a few that have a soft start/stop but without seeing it for myself its really meaningless. Its on the project list after the move lol.

I have a linear actuator I bought on ebay. It will lift 200lbs, has a 9 inch reach and takes 10 seconds to raise or lower - it has built in self limiters.

I am going to try to build a 360 egg bator with a turner made from aluminum angle, square bar and mesh.
