So I’m leaving for vacation for a week and I went to check on my girls one last time and noticed that she looked very uncomfortable and trying to squat. She would push and goo and just alittle bit of poop would come out. I lifted her up and saw that her end was very inflamed. This morning I let them out for an hour and she was perfectly fine not issues. She was running and everything. Some one please help I have my chicken guy coming to help her but I need all the info I can get. What can I get to percent it. OH and this morning I saw a half shell in there nest. ( but that could be from us feeding them and my dad throwing it in there) this is my favorite chicken pls help calm my mind. :,(

If you only found half an egg she probably was egg-bound and it broke. I would grease up my finger and gingerly try to find the rest of the egg and after that would push the cloaca back in

Do you have more photos?
It looks partially prolapsed, but I too would be concerned there's an egg in there. Can you glove up and insert a lubricated finger inside the vent to feel for an egg?

I have my chicken guy going to see soon to check for an egg. He has had had to deal with stuck eggs before

That would be good. In the meantime, that red/exposed tissue, put a little oil, ointment on it to keep it from drying out - you can use hemorrhoid cream, honey, coconut oil, etc. the goal is to keep it moist - dried out tissue will die.
