Hi Tracy ~

Well I'm sad to report our girl didn't make it. She wouldn't stand up on her own anymore starting Thursday and stopped eating on Friday. I gave her some veggie oil to get her bowels going thinking that would encourage her to eat, but no such luck. I even took her out in the sun on Friday hoping maybe fresh air would motivate her, but still nothing. I checked on her Saturday morning and she hadn't eaten or drank a thing since I fed her on Friday and there was only one lil spot of poo. She would open her eyes when i walked in the room, but then close them again so I knew what was coming and sure enough, I checked on her Saturday night when I got home from work and she had passed.
We tried to help her and kept her comfortable and loved, but she had had enough...hate to see them suffer.

Thank you for all your helpful advice though and hopefully we won't have to use it with any other hens in the future, but I'll file it away just in case.
