Hello, I currently have a hen who seems to have a prolapsed vent. I don know how long she’s been like this. Tonight as I was putting everyone to bed I saw she was dripping both blood and what seems like yolk from her backside. There’s blood and yolk smeared on her butt and I think part of her inside is on the outside. But it’s a small amount. I am wondering what to do, some threads I’ve read are saying to push it back in, while some are saying to leave it and it’ll go back in. I’m confused and quite frankly freaked out as one of my roosters has an eye closed shut and the other one is also shutting and opening one of its eyes with water coming out. I would appreciate any help thank you so much.

I'm sorry this is going on for you :(
Do you have any pictures of the prolapse? I'd be a bit wary of pushing it back in just yet if she's dripping yolk. Can you clean her up and put regular petroleum on the prolapse to keep in moist?

Hey, thank you for replying. I don’t have a picture but I can definitely get one tmr morning I hope she will be alright. I will try cleaning her up but tonight she wanted nothing to do with me and she is one of my more skittish hens so I couldn’t do anything alone.
