Props to the HovaBator Genesis 1588 w/automatic turner!

I think I forgot to answer one of your questions... yes the new replacement thermostats I got .. had the red buttons.

I set the lid of one incubator on the top of another one when adding water one day... didnt realize it but a red button got pushed and the temperature was off for a few hours before I figured out what happened

Did your replacement thermostat work good and flash when it got up to temp? Thank you for your help!

I think the light flashes when the heateri s heating up.

I was so frusrated that I bought 2 of the egg thermometerrs. Put both in at the same time and compared the temps. The eggs matched each other but were off a bit when I compared the reading to the incubators.

I noticed a new problem ...the humidity reader on one of my incubators that has the new thermostat...is reading 14% less than the new hygrometer and 12% less than the accurite thermometer/hygrometer

There are 2 flaws with the GQF Gensis 1588. The digital hygrometer (humidity) in the display is rarely accurate. The good news is it can be calibrated. The other is the electronics have an issue with humidity above 65%. If your humidity runs higher than 65% you run the risk of the electronic thermostat failing. So if your 1588 is not reading the correct humidity its a bit problematic to know if your above 65% or not! Otherwise its a good low cost incubator.

Thats my problem every thermometer and hygrometer I have tried shows a different temp or humidity. How do you know what is right?

I put 8 baby thermometers in one incubator. and most were all different which is why I bought the two egg thermometers. I was at wits end.

There is a formula of salt and water... put inside of a plastic bag. with a hygrometer...that will tell you if the hygrometer is correct.

Of course you cant put the incubator in the plastc bag, but you can put another hygrometer in the bag and then use it to check the hygrometer in the incubator.

Remember this... you are not the only one having problems.

Have you ever gone to a store and looked at the thermometers? Even the exact same thermometers all read different! lol

Someon posted that I should buy a thermometer for reptiles. I havent done that yet. Not sure if there is a hygrometer for reptiles.

There is a hygrometer for reptiles and they have combo temp/hygro but I don't know anything about them! I change from filling chamber #1 like it said on the hoverbator directions to filling chamber #4 instead. It dropped the humidity 8 degrees and I think that might help.I will keep an eye on the air cells!

I bought one of those reptile temp/hygro and put in in my hova bator. It is reading 40% humidity and 94 degrees. My hova bator is reading 99.7 degrees and 48% humidity. I am going to get a better temp/hygro at the store today. I don't trust that $9 one.
