just want to share a pic of our roo. This is my first rooster and yesterday we got to see first hand him protect his flock from a hawk . We've raised him since 8 wks old . Super proud of this guy and to see him at work. He will be 2 this spring

Wow! Mine are super nice and gentle with the girls but are completely wimps when it comes to danger.

I would get a rooster but I live close to my neighbors and I’ve heard that roosters are usually better in a flock of no less than 12 hens. I don’t know if it’s true or not though?
