PSA: Close your coop door!

Whew! That was a close one. I'm glad you got them all back. I worry all the time that I'll forget to close the door. Sometimes I have to go out and check, because I was on autopilot and truly did not remember doing it.

Do they normally run out when you open the door? It is possible they woke up saw the open door and thought it was time to be chickens. Their sensitivity to uv and your artificial light would have been enough to convince them it was time. I'm just very glad you've got them food trained it is very helpful indeed!

This was at 4:30 in the morning, a good 2 hours before sunrise. Plus, in heavy rain. I don't know why they would leave the coop like that!

Hahaha I was running backwards with my phone in one hand and a bag of blueberries (ie BEST TREAT) in the other so I chopped off half the flock by accident, but Nardole is always last!
Clara Oswin Oswald is an Easter Egger, and a gorgeous one at that.
She is not-so-secretly my favorite.

So pretty! I love watching my girls run lol, they look so funny.

In order to prevent this we bought an automated door from Ador. Never have to worry did we remember to close the door. They are not cheap but the piece of mind is worth it
