Puffy lump under ducks beak. Help

I don't know what it is or what to advise. . but I will say one of my Cayuga ducks had a place swell up that looked just like this one day last summer. It was fine the next day so in my case I assumed it was a bee sting or something but I don't really know for sure.
So maybe, hopefully, it *might* go away on its own :fl

I don’t have ducks but I have a few questions that may help me choose my path in this road.
How long has it been since you separated this fella from the others?
More than 24 hrs?
When ducks fight, do they bite and pinch each other like chickens do?
Do they use their necks when they fight?

If the answer to any of these is yes I’d give it soft foods and another 24 hrs of separation and observation before deciding what to do about this.
It’s possible it’s swelling that may go down.
If it’s an abscess it’ll either get bigger or it’ll harden up.

... in which case, THEN I’d lance it.

He's been inside since yesterday morning. So it's been over 24 hours now and it does look any different.

I'll give it another day, we're both at work all day so we have him on our veranda with food and water on his own.

We thought maybe he is sick as his beak has been very warm to the touch so bought something vetafarm Triple C I think it was. Which has Chlortetracycline Hydrochloride, which we read is a broad spectrum antibiotic for birds if no solid diagnosis of a sickness is possible.

@Alaskan Have your Muscovy's ever abscessed like this?

No... I haven't ever seen anything like that.

It is odd also that the entire bill is warm.

Sorry I am no help.

I would give supportive care ( good nutrition) and a quiet place to recuperate... and see how the duck looks in the morning.

Sounds like the care you are providing is excellent .
