Thanks for your reply! She had an empty crop this morning, but not many poops overnight...until she did, and then she totally made up for it! I’m wondering if indeed she’s a bit constipated. I put her back with the flock this morning & she did great (most of the day), including a full fledged dust bath, but no egg. That’s not totally unexpected though, as she laid later in the day yesterday. I cancelled the vet appointment and will continue to monitor, but fingers crossed...How does her abdomen feel? Any bloat/swelling?
I would re-check the crop for several mornings before she eats/drinks to make sure it is empty.
Watch to see that she is drinking well and eating.
Were you able to use your Christmas present to look for worms
From your description and the photos, your girl is not feeling well. She may be having some reproductive problems. I would watch to see that she is pooping/not constipated. If she seems constipated give her 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.
As for the microscope-it’s been a solid 20, maybe 25 years, since I’ve used one. I didn’t see anything moving, but beyond that I have ZERO idea what I was looking at
. Even if I don’t bring Scarlet in, I think I will still have the vet run fecal samples on her, a composite on the flock and on our cat. The only thing I can think of is worms or Coccidiosis, or something way worse. Now I’m having second thoughts about canceling the appointment

Would it hurt to dust the roosting bars & nest box just in case? I have elector psp, too. Thanks, all, for following along. I feel like I’m thinking out loud and appreciate your feedback!
