Pullet is unwell, seems very tired but no other symptoms

Well, be careful what you wish for. After she passed this monster (all over my rug :( )she had the smelliest cecal poo and demanded her release! I took her back to the coop & she laid an egg within 5 minutes and is now back to her role as miss social. Go figure. Maybe she was just constipated?!? Regardless, I’ll continue to monitor her, but fingers crossed she’s feeling better!View attachment 1637359
:woot good girl! Sorry about the rug! I'm glad she's feeling better!! :yesss:

Thanks! Keep me posted on queenie, too!!!
I just went to check on her, I had taken her warm scrambled eggs with garlic, she had gobbled them up. I took the dish away and she repositioned herself and pooped a stinky green yuck! Smelled like garlic, my whole greenhouse needed to be aired out! She went right to her water and drank and drank. Changed her nesting and she is looking better, I hope. I'm clueless, she's been like this since the weekend. She's my favorite, docile, sweet and beautiful.

Lol, they sure know how to clear out a room! She’s a pretty girl! Is she an Olive Egger, too? It’s good she’s eating & drinking. Hopefully she’s just basking in the sun of the greenhouse & recouperarting, kinda like a trip to a Mexican resort for us!

Ugh, she’s back on the roosting bar with her eyes closed while everyone else is out chickening :(. Vet can see her Friday if she doesn’t improve. I’m going to worm her just in case.

Oh! :barniewhat do you use for worming? She's a leghorn, she lays a nice big white egg. These ladies have us, don't they? Keep me posted!! Xx

I alternate between safeguard & valbazen. Today I used valbazen and will follow up in 10 days. Fingers crossed. It’s just so weird, everything seems normal...except the standing with her eyes closed. :idunno

I didn’t realize leghorns were different colors, I thought they were just white! Silly me. Time to look through the catalogs!

Maybe she just needs a day off...let me know how she's doing tomorrow , hopefully back to her self again. I was told she was a leghorn, she has similar colors to your girl...

10 month old Olive Egger

did not come off the roosting bar this morning (normally she’s trying to get the food out of my hand) and she seems very sleepy.

She laid an egg yesterday, doesn’t seem to be egg bound or straining, posture & color look good, no sign of parasites. She also groomed very briefly. She’s currently in the nesting box of a dog crate in the house.

She has only pooped once, and it was pretty runny & white

hopefully she’ll poop so I can check for worms. I got a microscope for Christmas

Maybe she was just constipated

How does her abdomen feel? Any bloat/swelling?
I would re-check the crop for several mornings before she eats/drinks to make sure it is empty.

Watch to see that she is drinking well and eating.
Were you able to use your Christmas present to look for worms:)

From your description and the photos, your girl is not feeling well. She may be having some reproductive problems. I would watch to see that she is pooping/not constipated. If she seems constipated give her 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.
