So here's our welsummer. We got her back in October and when we got her we thought she might have been broody. After posting some pictures of her and and asking some question we determined that she was not broody and might be molting. Well two months later we have not seen any change in her feathers. She hasn't lost many in the past month. And we have still yet to get an egg... Anyways I thought I'd post another picture to see what you guys think! Is it possible that she is still a pullet??? When feeling her pubis bones I don't think she could pass an egg. Thats one reason why we are thinking shes still young... But the thing is when you look at her she looks older... When a hen gets past her laying prim do her pubis bones come close together again??? Hopefully someone can give me their opinion!!!
we haven't had anymore eggs from summer and its been over a week... Kinda disappointed but we still have hope... Yesterday she spent two sessions of 30 minutes up in the nesting box. It seemed like she wanted to lay but we checked her and can't feel any egg.....
