This our little flock. The first three are 12 weeks old and were all feather sexed as female when we bought them as day old chicks. I have my doubts for sure. 1, Looks like a buff orpington, small and sweet. 2. an EE with muffs, grey legs, white on the bottom of the feet. 3. Rir? But with some leg feathering. The next two are 7 months old.4. The white one has beard, muffs and slate legs, 5. the black one has a little red on the chest and greenish black in the sun. Opinions on gender for 1-3. 4 is a hen, but not laying yet, 5 is laying.

Hi!

I'm trying to determine if my polish is a hen or a rooster.
I got 3 polish hens 2 months ago.. I was told they are all hens and this one in particular is coming into pullet..

Ela makes cute chirpy sounds.. is very skittish and easily spooked. She hasn't laid any eggs (that i've discovered.. my hens are freerangers) but her hair is getting spikier and longer.. she doesn't have a soft affro like the other two.. and so I want to find out if she is actually a hen or a young rooster.

Either way I'll be keeping her/him but want to prepare myself for the new dynamic as all I have experience with is hens.
