I found my drake Waddles this morning with a puncture wound on the underside of his jaw near bill. I've cleaned area with peroxide and applied a neosporin cream. I've also used Bach's Rescue Remedy. I saw a small amount of bright red blood, but no kore. There is drainage. It's sort of brownish with pink tinge. He is sipping water. Standing and not moving much. I'll keep him out of dirty water a while. I'm worried about the color of drainage. Was not expecting the brownish color from a fresh wound. There is a little swelling, so watching to make sure not so much that his airway gets constricted. I've attached a picture. The whitish stuff is the cream. The wound is about 1/3 inch lonch. He keeps trying to clear his throat, so also concerned the puncture goes clean through and how well that will heal and affect eating and appetite.
Any advice greatly appreciated
