PuPu Platter

I did dual heat my first time too even though night time temps were 40-50F. I'm just a baby steps kind of person so it helped ME to not worry, whereas THEY were just fine with the Mommy Hut. I still use the same heating pad over wire frame that I started using 10years ago. It's so warm under there and they still dart out and goof around no matter what the temp is, then back under for sleep. I never hear distress cheeps, never have pasty butt, I've never lost a chick. For OP, these links below along with my own threads seeking advice and getting it from so many people especially 3KillerB's and Blooie, is how I made the transition. Hope you do too!!

Are the shades of Pemberly to be thus polluted?" Well, Lady Catherine, apparently THEY ARE!!
I was reading Austen and randomly remembered this thread 🤣
I am so thoroughly disgusted and in such desperate need to get these abominations out of here that I went outside into whatever this heat index is and worked nearly two hours on the coop. I managed to literally cut 4 pieces of wood and screw them to their appropriate places.
Hope your coop quickly progressed from it's 4+ apportioned pieces stage, and things are going well with your flock!

Hahaha! Omgoodness. 😂 they made it as long as we wanted them to - except one. All things considered, I suppose that is a win.
