Me and my uncle have been raising this particular line of Silver Duckwing OEGBs for about 10 years. We've never added any new blood, so they are probably highly inbred. Today one of my hens hatched out 8 chicks. Upon closer inspection, I realized that some chicks were lighter than others. Almost like a reddish color. I've never had this happen before. Every other chick I've ever gotten has been like the chick on the bottom- chipmunk markings with black, white, and brown. But now I've got some reddish looking chicks (the one on top)
Any thoughts? Could years of inbreeding have produced a new, lighter color in my Silver Duckwing OEGBs?

I'm really interested to see what your lighter colored one looks like when fully feathered out.
