Purina Horse Feed

Purina is acutally garbage, no offense purina. Well the feed store guy told me a few years ago they started putting stuff in the feed to make the horses want to keep eating, kinda like potato chips there so good you keep eating them, well this is kinda what they did

I haven't gotten Strategy in a while, but when I saw it got recalled for the first time a few years back I switched to Triple Crown for my mares and Omelene 400 for my stallion. If you haven't thrown it out yet, would you mind posting a picture? This entire horse feed thing is getting interesting.

Mighty big claim concerning Purina, you got anything besides a years old story as told by a "feed store guy" to back up your statement with a little bit of fact.

My horses will keep eating and eating and eating and eating, they have always been this way, neither horse gets Purina of any kind.

They used to get Purina Strategy when they were in poor condition, but now that they are healthy and "slick" they get a generic brand of 12% protein feed, good grass, open air, and fresh water. Never a change in their appetites.

First off I cant post a link because I didnt read it on the internet, and second off the feed store guy is a very good friend of mine.

We have fed purina horse products for many years with very good results - I've been using their animal feed products for over 50 years actually. Recently I started feeding one of their products again, and extreme geek nerd that I am, I studied all the other similar products on the market for six months before making my choice. I also researched blending my own feed.

The Purina product came out as the best product after my extremely super nerd geek review.

There are many things being said about horse, dog and chicken feed companies today. From what is being said, I can only conclude that feeding our pets is a very, very emotionally charged choice for a good many people.

One thing to keep in mind is that all of the major animal feed companies have had recalls.

This isn't about Purina being crap, this is about a potential recall with potentially harmful stuff in it from a factory error or something. I fed strategy at one time, and it did just as good as Triple Crown. Lets keep things on topic or I'm going to request this to get locked.

Edited for typo

Myself and everyone I know has been feeding Purina Rabbit feed fine with no problems...

However my feedstore lady told me she had a client who switched because it was "blowing up her rabbits hearts": exact words. But there was other issues between us anyway so I just thought it was BS at the time.

I think that the woman's horse only had severe colic or something. Either that or its digestive tract ruptured. I feed my Dwarf Rabbit Purina Rabbit and I don't see a problem with it either.
