Any idea why this guy’s comb would be turning purple off and on? Not cold enough for frost bite. Seems normal otherwise. I don’t think it’s an injury.

I haven’t had a chance to feel it over yet. Will try to do so tonight when he’s roosting. Anything to be looking for?How does it feel?
Completely normal. I’ve had him since August, he is a late bloomer compared to his “brother”. He has only recently started crowing and dancing for the hens. Could hormones do this?Could he have a respiratory illness? How is his breathing?
Just regular layer mix free choice. Garden greens occasionally and wheat scratchWhat are you feeding him?
Hormones won't turn his comb purple, just brighter red.Completely normal. I’ve had him since August, he is a late bloomer compared to his “brother”. He has only recently started crowing and dancing for the hens. Could hormones do this?
Don't let him eat the layer feed. He needs 20% protein feed or higher.Just regular layer mix free choice. Garden greens occasionally and wheat scratch
