Just redid the antiseptic and antibiotic ointment. Looks a little better. All the individually points of swelling are gone but the whole is still swelled. They did not lay and egg today.Likely infection.

She may not lay for a while until she feels better. Continue to put the ointment on, if you wrap make sure its not too tight, and make sure to keep it clean.Just redid the antiseptic and antibiotic ointment. Looks a little better. Okay I willWhen you take care of her foot tomorrow, give us some updated photos.
Best time to check feet is after dark with a flashlight in the coop. Chickens can't see in the dark so you can sneak up on them. Good luck.Okay I will
Seems to be improving slightly. Feet are sill discolored but instead of point of swelling and puss the whole foot is swelled. When you take care of her foot tomorrow, give us some updated photos.

I have bought a lot of 1st aid wrap, non stick sterile pads, Neosporin & antiseptic at the Dollar Stores.
2 yrs ago I went to buy a couple of chickens from a guy someone referred me to, and when I arrived was stunned by filthy, muddy, never cleaned, overcrowded conditions. I wanted 2 hens, ended up rescuing 10 hens & 2 Roosters, just to get them out of those hideous conditions. 1 hen & 1 baby Roo were plucked bald and literally curled up & huddled in my lap, and those 2 still love me dearly...the Roo has remained so sweet & that poor hen was so traumatized it took months for her to calm down. Anyway...a few of the hens had bumblefoot bad. It took months of soaking, cleaning, wrapping, but it seemed they finally healed. Well, the bumblefoot has returned in some of them over the last 2 yrs. I'm not sure why, but perhaps it is something they will always be susceptible to getting, so I have to keep checking on them. I'm just letting you know, do your best, but if it seems healed, still check on the feet, you never know if it may come back.
