Purple spots on foot ? Bruising ?

Pancake was limping this afternoon and I’ve no idea why , but after some rest he’s gradually getting better , however he’s developed purple spots on one foot , he’s still eating , drinking and pecking human ankles like crazy and shooting round my legs in circles , so do you think maybe something dropped on his foot ? I rang the Vet who said just to keep an eye on him and see how he is in the morning , but I know how quickly ducks go down so I just wondered if anyone else had had the same thing ? Thanks in advance as always for your duck wisdom

I know this is an old post but one of my runners started limping today and has a little purple splotch on her foot. No wound or bumblefoot. Was your duck okay?
