Pus in my roosters comb

I have an elderly rooster named Rusty. He is so deeet. He has a flat comb and it has pus pockets in it. I clean it every day and today I squeezed it and the pus came oozing out. I use soft toothbrush with disinfectant on it. I use tea tree oil and I am thinking of trying to flush it with something. I want to bring him up to WSU vet school but they are booked out 4 weeks. He needs to be put under so they can cut it open and clean it out and sew it up. It smells.

Do you have a photo of it? Was it caused by an injury or frostbite?
Have you used a topical antibiotic on it?

It looks like yellow spots on his red comb. I never thought it was anything until I notices some of the yellow spots (which is pus) were getting bigger. I cleaned it again this morning and put triple antiobiotic on it and I am also using Silver Coildal liquid on it too. He is so good when I do this. I am feeding him yogurt with crushed up ampicillin in it. I cannot shove these pills down his throat.

I am feeding hin yogurt with crushed up ampecillyn in it. I cannot shove these pills down his throat. IF I could use a syringe and flush it with something, that would help. Do I use saline solution or hydrogen peroxide? I need to really get in there to clean it out.

It would be helpful to know your location as it gives is a lot of clues.

The smell from the lesions indicates infection. It would help to know if the blisters are from infected frost bite tissue or from a protozoa or other pathogen. Knowing what you are dealing with is helpful in treating it efficiently.

A simple photo would be a very good start.
