One hatched last night, it was still wet when I checked this morning, but I could tell it was a dark one. The other is starting to zip. Hopefully it is a light color. Hopefully there is another baby when I get home. Nothing from the other two eggs yet.

No these were my first chicks from my first hatch. The ones I hatched out have not yet been photographed. I'll have to do it tonight

Still have many more eggs in the incubator in lockdown. Hopefully me taking the others out didn't hurt them. The humidity didn't drop bellow 60%. I hold it in with a fitted sheet when I remove chicks.

Dandy, yes the eggs in lockdown now are the replacements from the campine.

Yes, 6 of the 7 eggs hatched. No movement from the 7th egg yet, and tonight will be 22 days, so I will give it a little more time.

I just checked my four eggs that are left, two are pipped, with one starting to zip, so hopefully they are out in the morning, can't wait. My silkie did a good job incubating them. So excited.

The one that I was hoping to hatch, hatch as soon as I got there to check, I watched it happen, plus a third egg is pipped, I actually only expected two cause one egg's air cell was really weird shaped, and another didn't have movement any time I candled, thought it was dead, but I hope all four hatch now. The second chick is also dark, can't wait to start taking pictures of them. I was so excited to get out there, when I entered the coop, I didn't look down, I stepped on one of the eggs that my hens layed today....Oops.

We were up to 20 last count. There was still 1 more egg in the incubator. I will give it until tomorrow to pip. It was 21 days yesterday.

We lost quite a few this hatch They kept flipping over and not able to right themselves under the heat lamp. So sad.. One silkie has splayed leg. I am not intervening. Silkies never did well with hobbles. They are too small to properly train. It's not as bad as some I've seen, so she may be just weird when she's older. I have a special needs home for any that turn out like this. As long as she is not in pain, I won't cull her.

Some of my new EEs are barred. Looks like my young BR cockerels have been active Ah well. Green eggs are awesome! Not a single EE has a single comb, which is really good.
