Putting brooders in my duck coop?

Are they going to come in contact with the older ducks?

Probably not, I think the brooders will be either on the wall or on the counter. And the older ducks will be on the floor.

Will the noise of the chicks and ducklings drive my broody ducks crazy? I have some really broody mama’s this time of year and all summer but I don’t let them nest anymore, so wasn’t sure if the ducklings would bother the big duck

I didn’t buy any. I hatch the eggs that I get from my ducks and sell them. I tried the first couple years letting a couple ducks hatch some and they did but since I was selling them I had to take the ducklings away from the mama ducks about a week or so after they hatched, then the mama ducks were going around call for their babies. I can’t do that to them again. I don’t have any Broody mama’s yet this year but I suspect some time in the next month my Rouen will turn broody and grumpy like normal. The picture is of her last year.

Ahh gotcha. I'm hoping a couple of my girls go broody this Spring.
Our Rouen girls are the loudmouths too
