Putting eggs in the bator on July 25, does anyone wanna hatch along???

All three got out safe and healthy!!!! They are all americanas except one is a americana and something else mix, one is white and brown another is light brown and dark brown, and the mix is light brown dark brown and a little bit of white!!!

I have had pretty plain babys always so this baby is so colorful Black,brown white LOVE how they look !!


Midnight ,the only BBS hatched of 10 eggs .hes the little King of the brooder.thinks i'm his MOM.
1# Orps...Kept 2 of the 5 hatched ....14 eggs(Peeper on the left my tiny one who was an assist and is fine now and cocky but tiny and spoiled.and has to eat out of my hand( although i'ved seen him eat like a chicken BAD BOY!)
BUff Brahma at water.(2 hatched and 1 BR)...3 hatched of 12 eggs
Below are 4 of the 5 #2 LO's that hatched of 12 eggs.
The 5th is the chick with the really screwed up leg in another box. in traction
Yellow one here I was told was a mottle gene Lavender Orp who WILL turn lavender??OK if you say so...

Above is one of the 2 Sliver Laced Brahmas that have hatched so far today.Things are quiet with the other unhatched eggs ...hate to say today day 21.
So those are all my hatchlets, 12, for the last week out of how many eggs?? 46 i think?
.Little over 1/4 hatched....ALL SHIPPED but to be fair in the105 degree heat .All but the BBS had ice packs though .Maybe helped a little but not a huge amount. Well i could have had ZERO!! HAHA

So unless i am jumping the gun I am done now until Sept 1st. when the Light Brahmas hatch Just gotta go out now and make another coop and pen for these guys!

I Dont know anything about Silkies..tell me what is it when you said "hope this baby is silkied"?

This little one is a Serama, but they can be silkied (with hookless feathers like the Silkie breed...like fur), Frizzled (like Cochins... look like a pinecone) or booted in addition to any feather style (feathered legs/feet). My baby has a silkied Daddy and the hens that live with him are split to silkied, so this little one has a good chance of being fuzzy silkied

Well Now I i did it .

Told you all not to show me those tiny chicken baby pics!!
Went to the local swap meet in town today to see what silkies etc looked like in person... not BUY and someone GAVE my grand daughter a mixed "JApanese"-Banty? I assume she meant Japanese Serama dont know though,Is tehre any other name like that?Just "Japanese"?
Anyway this hen was the tiniest thing... tiny bigger than a pidgeon.It is "blue" barred and sooo CUTE...Friendly too couldnt let it be lonely so bought its sister!... more black barred.
GEEZ i knew i'd do that.!
That picture with the tiny black chick next to the red bottle cap?... DID ME IN...and then fate stepped in...What could i do?

My 2 new baby SLB are in togther fianll yMade iwilget sleep tonitie. Better go check at #1 was picking on #2 before i left the room...So far...no more hatches from the SLB eggs ...
i have a bad feeling this is it but i have 2 so i am not totally dissapointed as i almost expected it to be this bad or worse. whne youspend too much bad carma.....Hope they are boy and girl though!!Will see.

There are Japanese bantams.... they are indeed very tiny and look a lot like Seramas. Japanese are super-cute little birds ^..^

I wasnt paying as close attention as i should have b/c someone else was calling around to see if any one has LO eggs for me so split attention then got home and.... what did she say they were??HAHA I know she said Japanese...and ?? Bantam or Banty mix is that the same?i asked "Japanese Serama"? and she said" just Japanese" but these ppl all had mix Chickens pretty much and arent into pure breeds much
They are a bantam club though I think but she said these were smaller than Bantams. One has feather on is legs and more a whitish leg the other a pure yellow leg with one tiny feather
.Here is my face pic sorry it was so blurring as the batteries were going and i took it fast..there combs are more red than that but not red red now i see a pinkish red



Anyway they are tiny with red combs and tiny thumb print tiny wattles..she SAID girls l hope they are?
They are really calm and hold-able
How can you not be in love with tiny creatures.. .well maybe not bugs but warm blooded .

Wasnt going to have any more SLB news but these guys are crazy!!

I look and look ..so closely yes til I'm crosseyed every hour or so and then i come in and wham a baby is in there!

No star crack, no pip just nothing... then a baby So...went in and now I have 3 chicks!

Each one did that... well maybe the first i saw zip and out in an hour or less.
This last Almost shot water on him from the straw to raise the humiditiy then realized HEY! a baby!

So all bets are off as to how many will come
I THINK thats all but???
Wonder if they are pipping under the eggs instead of on top?
Candling.. Seems i saw a few eggs all dark but now dont know how many 3 ? 5? .Golly my brain is going.So again dont think i will have more... but these guys are really different
