Putting eggs in the bator on July 25, does anyone wanna hatch along???

See> You need to think about Seramas! I have built stacking 2 x 4 x 2 pens to keep my birds in...though I think the youngsters will go out to the outside grow out pen once the weather starts cooling off. Then come back into the smaller pens once I know who is gonna live with who and all that ;)

Teeny, cute, friendly, a chicken rainbow!

Aschenfire, you are such an enabler.

Me too, Chicken Tamer! Well, I think so anyway -- I've got one egg that's 18 hours "younger" than the rest, so he/she might be a bit slower... Although if recollection serves I actually set them right around midnight of the 17th heading into the 18th, so who knows? I could see pips on Friday!

WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited, I have some rockers. A Coronation Sussex, two White Ameraucas, and my Birchen Maran/ Tolbunt are rockin.

Nothing grew in 4 out of 5 of my Birchen Maran/ Tolbunts and I really wasn't sure how this last one was doing. That egg is so big and dark and beautiful and very hard to candle. I could tell the air sac was pretty big and shaped kind of irregular. So I thought that little one might not be okay. Its mine and my seven year olds favorite cause, it is so big and pretty. Well when I went and looked at them tonight it was rocking. WOOT WOOT!!!! It was rocking so hard it almost flipped all the way over. I am so happy its alive, I really didn't think it was and I have been walking around my house all night giving high five and saying WOOT WOOT!!!!!! I am sooooooo excited. Since it is are only one of that kind we need some serious pullet vibes.

OMG, Aschenfire, they're beautiful! I can't believe how big -- well, okay, grow up -- they look already!!! One more thing that's gonna be interesting is learning how quick a chicken grows. I love your tricolor boy, he's downright handsome (and looks like he knows it, hee!)

Oh, you gotta anyway! You're probably in bed already -- how can you SLEEP at a time like this??? I bet you're not... Hee! Here's hoping you wake up to a 'bator full of baby chicks!
Your right, I am still up but, tomorrow is my kids first day back at school. So of course I have to go to bed.
