So I've had an Easter Egger rooster for the past...8 years. He grew up inside my home like a dog. He doesn't recognize that he's a rooster and my family is his family. Unfortunately, recently due to some illness my family was told to get rid of the chicken.
Naturally he's our baby and it's incredibly hard, so I'm uncertain what to do. I'm in Canada. My rooster is kind of spoiled, he likes to eat grapes and budgie seeds and be cuddled. I'm at a loss at what to do. I can't imagine having to put him down - is giving roosters away an option?
