The past few weeks I’ve noticed my 2 pygmys (who are 2 years old) seem agitated, i.e. feet stomping, low bleating, a bit lethargic.
They don’t have bloat but I noticed they seem to have lice, I’m currently treating this with powder.
I’m in the UK and the weather is starting to come warm, so flys are around and didn’t know if the flys/ lice could be the cause of them being a bit irritated?
I’ve checked their feet with no issues, they’re eating and drinking fine.
Could it be down to the lice and weather change? Or should I look in to something else?

My first thought was worms as well. Pull their eyelids down. Red/dark pink is good. Light pink is bad. White is really bad.

I have four goats...two pygmies and two anglo nubians....and during a recent flare of mites, they foot stomped and bleated a lot and this, along with scaly dandruff, is what alerted me to the mites. One dose of 1% ivermectin pour on and the behaviour stopped within 48 hrs. As mentioned though, definitely check for worms as they can cause a lot more problems than a bit of agitation :hmm
