Yep! Though more often it's like three or four days between eggs.

Recently a group of breeders was discussing how long they've held onto eggs before starting incubation and had them be viable, and the longest someone said was six weeks.
Wish my chicken ehhs lasted that long ☹
 
Some minor disappointment tonight. Ciara laid her second egg, but it was shell-less and I found it broken:

She's still working out the kinks of being a new layer.

But, on the bright side, she did lay it in the emu barn and not randomly out in the pen, so that's a plus. She's getting the right idea.
 
No more eggs yet. Today's the third day since the shell-less egg. She went five days between her first one and that one though so it could be a couple more days yet before I would expect another. I've put out oyster shell for her just in case and laid down fresh hay tonight.

Are you going to incubate or try a natural hatch?
