Quail acting weird

Today I went to collect eggs from my bobwhites and one of the cocks was sitting on them. I had to pick him up and move him (and usually they don't let me handle them) and then he slowly walked away. A couple minutes later he started flying around like crazy, banging into the side of the cage... What's wrong with him? He's acting sick

It could be a number of things causing neurological reactions. There's some info on common diseases with Bobwhite quail in this file from University of Florida's extension:
