Quail are pipping... *Edit got some white chicks hatched....*

No that bad of a diffrence. TD's eggs are due to hatch tommorow and Sunday. So a couple days diffrence...

So far I have 16 babies one looked awfully sick and wouldn't do anything now I can't tell which one it is. The quail chicklet with the crooked toes healed cuz I can't tell which one he was either

So that makes me really happy. There is still one more eggs pipped but I think it is dead. It has been in its shell for 2 days. I would put water on the pipped hole so the membrane wouldn't dry out, but I dont think it is worth it anymore.

That is a great hatch rate. Plus I still have the eggs from TD cooking so I am going to have more then what I thought. Thanks so much Bill.

Hey, congrats on the hatch......

Don't fret over the "don't makers". It happens. That's life. That's Nature. And woot-woot to yet another curled-toed-invalid-survival-story. Quail hatches are like Christmas mornin' for most kids........ya expect a lot, but sometime we don't get what we expect. BUT.....Always Expect A Miracle.........

Well hell I was born on Christmas morning and looking in the incubator and seeing all those quail was definalty more exciting

I cracked open the egg that had pipped from the bottom of the shell and it was dead it had a yolk sack hanging from underneath it and it was cold even though it was in the bator. Can't wait to see what hatches tommorow!!!

Ok well TD's eggs started hatching tonight. I have 4 so far and many more are pipped

Gorgeous! Thanks for the pics. I was in need of a hatching fix. I haven't hatched ANYTHING this season AT ALL. I think I'm going to have to do a Fall hatch though. I can't stand it! I did have some quail eggs set but only a few and between one thing and another they didn't hatch. Ah well. At least I can look at pictures, thank you!!!
