What type of beautiful quail do you have pictured here?

They are juvenile California Valley quail.

We live in a desert area so it is quite hot during the day. So I need not keep them in the brooder. At night it gets very cold so I put them in the brooder.I always cover them with something like a basket to avoid crows or magpies. And i let them roam free under my supervision.

There are rufous magpies here and sometimes they steal your chicks so you have to be careful about your chicks

The Bougainvillea petals are such a huge mess. We are in a desert so windstorms are often. After a Windstorm you have to clean entire house because there are Bougainvillea petals everywhere
