There are rufous magpies here and sometimes they steal your chicks so you have to be careful about your chicksWe live in a desert area so it is quite hot during the day. So I need not keep them in the brooder. At night it gets very cold so I put them in the brooder.I always cover them with something like a basket to avoid crows or magpies. And i let them roam free under my supervision.
