I was super suprised yesterday on lockdown (day 15) when I saw a pip! First time hatching, I didn't expect any eggs to hatch because of how large the air cells ended up being in all of them. Dry incubation but I think it got too dry even for quail. The lockdown has humidity increased. It's progressed to a crack overnight but that's it. Only been 9.5hrs since the first pip but my fingers and toes are crossed for this little one. IF it does even hatch it may end up being the only one. Next time I will not be doing a dry incubation, just too dry in my house I think. Hoping to see a chick by tomorrow if it's strong enough to get out.
