Quail egg swap

Do you have button eggs? I am going sometime next month to southern Indiana, provided the weather is not bad, to pick up some turkeys I'm getting off someone there. Would you have any then? Might just make it a regular trip, since most of my family lives in northwestern IN.

I am going to get mine from Mrs. AK-bird-brain. Thats where my 6 came from. I have a good memory so I wont forget. I am praying I have 4 girls and 2 boys so I can hatch 4 in the bator and keep going till next year. If something bad happens I will buy 100 button eggs on ebay and try from that. It should help right?

I am selling some of my dad's chickens eggs on here, and if I ever get the @#!$ money orders, then marie_martin (who I got my first ones from) will send me more for the shipping $. Maybe I can borrow some $ from my dad till I get my money. I am taking college classes online, and living off the financial aid and grants leftovers. I guess I got a bit carried away, cause I am just about broke now!

Good for you Shelly!!
School is the only way to get somewhere nowadays!
Stick with it and it will pay off one day!!

Yeah, I will have some. Dont know how many, Just let me know when you are heading this way and Ill start saving them up for you and maby I could meet you somewhere so it wont be out of your way to come here unless you just want to.

Oh Kelly... My name is Kelly also!

I can't find the PM they sent me, but their profile says southeastern IN. They are from justusnak if you know who that is.

EDIT: it said we are 2 hours apart? It only takes maybe an hour and a half at most to get to Louisville from here. You don't seem that far from there?

Hey Kelly, My DD Lives in Tampa Fl.

Frog, I never had the nerve to buy hatching eggs from ebay, Have you bought them from ebay before and had any luck hatching?

Before SandSpoultry came to BYC he was on ebay. I bought 12 buff orpington hatching eggs from them. They sent me 14 eggs just in case the PO broke a couple. All 14 arrived safe and sound. After 7 days I candled and all 14 where fertile. Out of 14 eggs 12 hatched (which was the original # that should have came in the mail). After recommending them on here someone sent them to BYC. It depends on you PO's handling and your incubation techniques.

I bought my A&M eggs from eBay. The bid was for 12, and I got 18. One was broke on arrival, and there were 9 more that were scrambled. Out of the 7 remaining eggs, there was one blood ring, 3 quitters, 1 dead in shell, and 2 live chicks. But the seller ended up sending me replacement eggs for free, no shipping or anything!!

So I am very happy, and I hope they do better. They have been in the bator for 2 days.
