Thats fine FLOWERPOT. Sorry that happened. I have a tower and I plan on building a laptop down the road. I have so much hooked up to the computer. The more USB ports the better IMO

. I have my blackberry hooked up to it, my LG cell phone hooked up to it, SD card reader, and sometime I charge my PS3 controller.

I cant even believe what just happend...JUST NOW!..i was actually writing a post to you guys telling you my 7 babies were still doing good,,etc..and i'd send you pics when the others hatch from poultrykeepers clutch...
then my husband comes home and says..who was in the quail cage tonight?..and the look on his face told me everything(he had tears in his eyes).... he said dont come upstairs right now..i guess 2 of my 7 were dead on my living room floor..torn apart..(my cats)...so after he cleaned them up i went upstairs to check the others...there was blood in the cage.. and feathers around the cage and a wing...i am sitting here crying my heart out..i am devastated...my cats must have stuck their paws through the cage and caught them and pulled them through the bars!(the cage was locked up tight!)...i am just sick right now..how in the hell did the cats get them through the bars?..i truely feel like pukeing right now..

edited to add:..the other 5 seem okay..one had a bit of blood on her wing..but, i think it was from the others...

Oh no Wendy!! I'm so sorry! I know it seems impossible, but when I was younger we had found an injured turtledove. We put it in a rabbit cage in the barn. We must have had a good 20 barn cats at the time. I don't know how they did it, but it didn't have any feathers on it. Plus anything small enough to get through the wire was gone as well. So sorry about your babies! You should get a fish aquarium and get a wire top for it like you'd have for reptiles to put them in, then the silly kitties couldn't get to them. So sorry about your babies!

We live and learn from these sort of things, I know it's very sad but I truely believe that everyone who owns birds at one time or another either has one of their other aniamls kill a bird (or birds), or they accidentally kill or injure one some how. Not toolong ago my male cat got into my brooder and had ahold of my one young male button...luckily i walked naer him while he was prepairing to kill/eat him, i thought my cat had a toy...but it ddint look like any toy i had ever seen...so i kneeled down, and sure enough it was my little quail. He was still alive, with only a scratch on his breast, he hung on (even ate and drank) all night long all day long but died around midnight the next night...i was very sad...my cat got a smack on the bum...but he wont learn.
I just have to do better at keeping him out of the bedroom..when i go outside i make sure no cats are in the bedroom and i shut the door so they can't sneak an attack.

I am so sorry for your loss! I dont mean to say you did anything wrong so please dont take this the wrong way but I am curious, if you think the cats could ahve goten them through the wire, it sounds like the wire spacing is too wide? Just a question, because if so, your quail may have escaped all on their own and the cats just did what they do best.

Seems like lately everyones been loosing buttons to their pets (cats and dogs).

I'm glad you have some left still...keep an eye on that poor girl with teh wing boo boo hopefully it's a claw mark and not a bite...cat bites are very deadly to birds.
