I started the incubator yesterday with a mercury thermometer I trust to check the thermostat. If it's working fine, I am going to start collecting eggs to hatch. We get 8-10 eggs a day, you think I can collect them for two weeks and then at them all. I can put 120 in the incubator egg trays.or should I just connect for 1 week and set what I get?

I wouldn't set two week old eggs.


One week max for me.

Just changed out their bedding. It lasted about 10 days before it needed a refresh. There 53 little poopers in there, pretty good lifespan for bedding. We lost or culled 9 this week. Failure to thrive, foot issues, drowning...

I just saw one shake! It's the same one that I thought I saw move at lockdown and the first one that I saw a crack in.

One week max for me.

I have no problem setting two week old eggs. Properly stored they are fine. But I am not dealing with the temperatures that you are dealing with. It was 43°F here this morning.

Your chances of having good viability of the eggs diminishes after 10 days. You could still have decent viability with 2 week old eggs but that would depend on how they were stored.
I personally, don't set eggs older than 10 days.
