Just to update, there is no hatches yet. I'm shocked it's been over 48 hours since they pipped. Hopefully they hatch tonight or tomorrow morning.

Hey all! 7 out of the 12 just hatched right now with no problems. A few more eggs are moving around. I'll update with pics in a bit.

It truly is amazing how fast they hatch. Thank you for all your help.

Update: the number is up to 8 babies. The rest I don't think are going to hatch. There is no movment nor chirping. I will give them 1 more day before I remove the and continue the incubation process with the 4th batch

Update. 3 of the new chicks have passed away. Its hard to say what from, but the good news is the 20 other eggs are set to hatch in a week

I’m so sorry about your chicks. They are so small and delicate maybe they just weren’t strong enough to survive

Hey all. I have not lost anymore, but I did move the oldest quail who just turned 3 weeks old outside into their enclosure about 5 days ago. I lost one of them. He disappeared out of the blue no feathers or anything I don't know how or when he got out. Also, does anyone know when I can band them. I banded my blue scale quail at around 6 weeks of age. Will this work for gambels? @007Sean
