Quail hatch. Follow along.

I live in Italy and I've found out that here it's a super big flex for poultry breeders to say "look I've got California quail or I've got Scaly quail" and I know some people locally who I'm going to get some California quail eggs from soon. I don't know any international breeders sadly.

this is a pair that a breeder I know has available I'm debating getting. While everyone is talking about breeders and international breeders and egg shipping and all that stuff.

Look for exotic animal auctions in your area. You May be able to find a pair of them that you can use for eggs.

I tried Craig's List in Australia, but didn't find any quail listing. I did find this website: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-birds/nsw/quails/k0c18456l3008839 that shows what appear to be quite a few ads for quail in NSW. That might be a good place to start. I didn't see any ads for pearl quail, though. Maybe you could place a Wanted ad and see if you get a response that way?

How are the babys?!

Only 2 out of the 8 survived from the third batch. The rest are doing good. The 4th batch should hatch within the next few days.

Hey everyone! We have 19 new baby quail!! They hatched earlier this morning. So far only 1 egg hasn't hatched.

hey all. Just to update you. I have lost 4 quail in the newest batch from unknown causes. They get weak and tired then just die. Does anyone know what this could be?
