When i worm i use 1/4 the dose to chickens to worm my quail and have never had trouble doing so. we use valbazen and a few other types as well (some are not approved for poultry, but they are the ones getting the job done when needed).

I wouldn't worry to much about worming quail if being pen raised, however if in doubt just grab up a sample of poo and take it to any vet to have a worm test done, that way you don't have to worm unless the load comes back pretty bad.

Production loss can be a good sign of worms as well, but we don't rely on that completely.

I didnt realize I could have one of my vets look over the poo! Kind of a duh moment here! LOL! I think I'll do that before I concern myself with worming just so i dont worm when not needed. PHEW! thanks!
