Quails and Cocci? or something else?

Also, is it still safe to consume their eggs/meat even with coccidiosis?
I would guess it's fine, some birds have it and we never know, and we eat their eggs until they die or whatever. I hope yours don't have it tho, it really looks like cecal poops with some shed intestinal lining to me. Good luck!

If they are acting normal you probably have time.
In the US it is approved for use in laying and meat birds.

Thanks guys😁 Luckily I found a store that sells Amprolium 200! Better safe than sorry hehe.

We have a few options in AU like Coccivet and Aristopet Sulphadim. I called up the companies and they said they dont recommend it for food producing birds. I do recall reading other forums using them regardless.

If anyone lives in Western Sydney, City Chicks in Marsden Park sells Amprolium 200 which doesn't have any withholding period for eggs nor meat!

Really appreciate all the responses on this thread 😊 Thanks so much guys

In that last image, it looks like blood in the droppings. I'm a newbie quail owner so I don't have any answers but that's what my son's poop looked like when he caught salmonella from our bearded dragons when he was a toddler. I'm obviously not suggesting that your quail has salmonella, just that it looks like blood.
