Quails

I don't think they are old enough to be sure. At this point I'd say they are both the same sex, and I think both female but I can't be 100% sure. If no one else chimes in I'll direct you to someone I'm sure will know.

Hi,
thinking of buying a trio of quail. Are they ewsycto keep? I was advised to keep them in a pen that has a covered roof to keep predators away. Im in uk so eagles and like aren't really a problem.
How hardy are they in winter months and what food do they eat

If you use the search bar those are all very easily answered questions. Someone answers those same questions at least once a day around here.

I have 5 georgia giant bobwhite quails that are 6 was old. I have read several different things about when they become mature and start laying and when you can tell the sex. Can anyone tell me that has accually raised them before.?

They will begin to lay eggs the first April/May after they have reached 30 weeks of age. Ive never payed attention to what week you can sex them at since they autosex.

You can start to see the faces change about 12 weeks... You can be sure who is roo at 16 weeks.....

At six weeks old can I move them out of the broader and put them in an outdoor pen?
