He's acting just like any newly hatched chick,

he is just so big that he has trouble moving around on his little legs. He hatched out last night, and I left him in the incubator until this morning when I put him in with the other newly hatched chicks. But then I felt sorry for him cause the other chicks were more stable than he was, so I put him back in the incubator so he wouldn't be bumped around as much. He's now back in with the other chicks and doing very well. He's eating and drinking and fluffed up now. I keep saying "he" but who knows could be a little female.

Your baby is so cute hope s/he is doing good Is double yolk eggs common how often will you get a double yolk egg I'm new to the whole chicken thing Somebody said another member hatched twin chicks? Did they live after hatching? Thank you for sharing with us. This is really cool. Post more pics when s/he gets fluffy.

Wow when I found this thread I thought this was very interesting. Turns out I wasnt the only one as u now have a growing fan base. Thanks for the pics and please keep us posted and updated on how he or she is doing and if anyone finds the other thread about the twins, If its ok with the thread starter I would love for it to b posted here so we can all learn from it too? I may have to set the next double yolk egg I get. I always feared I would hatch a severely deformed monster that would b suffering and I would have to put it down. Im so glad u showed people like me that doesnt always happen tho and that does look like a big chick. Would love to see him/her pictured beside a normal size hatch mate please???????

It's cute. And big....
