I just had my first chick hatch, 1st of hopefully 30. There aren't any others even zipped yet so I am wondering how long until I should put him in the bator? He is climbing on the other eggs which is my only concern. Thanks

He can stay in 24 hours or more. Opening the bator changes the hatching environment so much it may cause the others not to hatch well. Hang tight and see what happens by late evening. Good luck!

Thanks MissPrissy! I will try to update later and see what the advice is depending on how far along the other eggs are. I assume with as rough as the eggs are handled at big hatcheries he is of no threat to other eggs right now?

My hatch started early about daylight. I have 7 so far. They are doing just like yours like a bunch of 3yr old kids.

I just let them go. They settle down and sleep alot. The flashlight wakes them up. Good luck on the rest of the hatch.

They will be perfectly safe in the bator over night. You do not want to open the bator right now unless it is absolutely necessary.

So tomorrow, or do I wait until it looks like all that are going to hatch hatch? Thanks so much.
