Question about rooster 'gameness'

If you are breeding said birds then you'll need to look into housing them males separately, or you'll have some major brawls on your hand. Some mature faster some slower but regardless if game one day you will come home and find dead birds.

Personally I see no real use with manfighters as with most that are into games like em tame and game, but you will likely get a few eventually down the line. Id suggest getting him on a 6-8ft tie cord and handle him everyday for a few minutes, maybe cut back on his feed a bit, just spend some quality hands on time with the bird not a stick as he's not a commercial type bird 100% no stick if he's hitting you step on the cord and pick him up massage him etc like I said be hands on. If it doesn't work then off with his head.

Also like havoc said a dremel works great for the spurs stinks a bit but works good.

What if he tries to bite my hand ?

Suck it up? Lol a little bill hold is nothing compared to a true solid hit or a shuffle from a bird with spurs. Usually if a bird pecks and you flinch they will notice and keep on but if you just act calm they will stop most times. These birds were made to work and can pick up on bad habits aswell so just be cool calm and collective and give it a real go.

roosterhavoc, I think I may have inadvertently gotten between him and a new girl he was trying to romance, she ran past me as I was walking, he may have thought I was blocking his pursuit. He had been dancing for the hens all day, I just let him do his thang, fertile eggs are what I'm after. I think you're right, and I'm kinda in favor of letting him be in charge, some eggs and another layer of protection from predators in return for all the ladies he wants is the bargain I'm hoping for. I don't need him to like me, just let me do my business.
This is almost exactly what happens when a rooster attacks a human. It’s not necessarily the humans fault but just a misunderstanding on the roosters part. They don’t think like humans even though many here think they do. I would give him a little time.
If you’re looking to breed them you will have to separate males once they start to mature. Good luck.

SOHC, are you talking to me? Or chickenteen?

If me, then yes good point, if I breed, any juvenile roosters will be eaten immediately, ha. This game rooster of mine lets me handle him just fine already, it was just the one time, I'm trying to figure out what happened to fire him up.

If he lets you handle him without problems and only did it once disregard all the people telling you to put him in a pot. Moving too fast around gamefowl will get you lit up more often than not. They kinda have a fight or flight response and most gamefowl aren’t afraid.

In my personal experience , buying hatchery chicks about guarantees you to have to deal with a butthole of a rooster.
